Commemorating the wars and conflicts of our nation’s past, and honoring all those who served in them is a VFW priority. We help to rally local level support of national endeavors because we know that by working together, America’s heroes will never be forgotten. It’s just another way we are able to give back to those who have sacrificed so much for our way of life.
The red poppy has connected generations of veterans, service members and their families with civilians in remembering all those who have fallen. And for more than 75 years, the VFW's "Buddy"® Poppy program has honored those who have sacrificed by raising millions of dollars to support veterans' well-being.
Making the decision to volunteer your personal time to our nation's heroes is an amazing way to give back and thank those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Everyone can help make a difference to a veteran and our VA Voluntary Service program makes volunteering easy!
VFW Post 239 hosts public commemorations and other events on many patriotic days, honoring America's veterans and rich history. We honor our Veterans and Family members with Meals and entertainment, often having guest speakers and performers whom are also veterans express their memories. You can too be involved with any of our upcoming events.
